Commercial Door Installation

The hard part is behind you. You found the best commercial door installation professional in the area and with their assistance, you have ordered the right door for your needs. All that is left is the big day when your new door arrives and gets installed. Here are a few tips for how to prepare so that your commercial door installation goes smoothly:

  • Clear the garage/warehouse. Depending on the size of your garage or warehouse, you may not need to remove absolutely everything, but you do need to give the professionals room to work. You also don’t want to risk damage to a vehicle or inventory that remained too close to the work area.
  • Clear the area in front of the garage/warehouse. The installer is going to need room to work outside and be able to get the commercial door off their truck and properly installed. A commercial door can be very heavy, so anything you can do to help them get it in place without carrying it a long distance will be appreciated.
  • Keep staff away from the project. You shouldn’t expect to be able to take deliveries or move inventory out of your warehouse during the commercial door installation. Be sure to keep curious staff from getting in the way.
  • Get your questions answered before they arrive. If you have any questions about what else you should do before your commercial door installation, be sure to call the office a day or two before. There are some questions that the installer may not have the answers for and you could delay the completion if you must stop everything to call in.
